An Open Letter and Report: St Augustine

MARCH 31, 2018
St. Augustine, Florida
Dear Ms. Lunelle,
Being denied the opportunity to speak before the St. Augustine City Council Monday night because of a technicality did not deter Mr. Henry Russ and myself from engaging the citizens and visitors of St. Augustine in Constitution Plaza the following day.
Don in the uniform of the Southern soldier, I would first post his Colors at the Cenotaph that lauds his journey in defense of his homeland that not only faced an illegal invading army, but also one that had orders from Lincoln to take the theater of war to the doors of innocent, defenseless, old men, women and children (General Order 100); rape them, kill their farm animals, steal any and all items used for nourishing their families to include the slaves; burn them out, plunder at will, and never worry about any accounting for their actions.
At the request of Mr. Russ, I would recite a rendition of Dr. Michael Bradley's poem titled "I Am Their Flag" at the Grave site of the Honorable General William Loring for a crowd of spectators gathered around. Many would leave teary eyed afterwards.
I certainly want to thank Ms. Jill Pacetti for allowing her beautiful baby girl Gracie for posing alongside me for the many request for photo's that I would take on this day.

Part 2 of this report will highlight the adventures of Mr. Russ and I as we would later travel on to Jacksonville, Florida where, still don in the uniform of the Southern soldier, I would post his Colors at the Cenotaph there. God bless you !
Your brother,
