Dear Ms. Lunelle, 

As I stood on the overpass of Interstate 240W / 26E in West Asheville, N.C. yesterday, September 21, 2022, don in my Dixie Outfitter Lee/Jackson “Last Meeting” shirt with the Southern Cross in hand; a young black man and young black woman would park their car and come to where I stood. 

“Mr. Edgerton”, he exclaimed with his hand outstretched.

“You probably don't remember my wife and I. We were standing in the crowd when you and your lawyer friend Attorney McCallister came to Madison, Florida last year and gave a speech.

You just can't imagine how proud you made us feel when you talked about the place of honor that black folks earned in service to their homeland instead of the beat down generally given by those who proclaim to be black leaders.
