Dear Ms. Lunelle,

On Friday, October 20, 2023, not long after posting the Southern Cross on the overpass of Interstate 240W as I had the day before, an elderly White couple would make their way to where I stood. 

The man was visibly agitated and immediately asked of me, “what are you doing, an old Colored boy standing here with that?” pointing at the Southern Cross.

Before I could answer, he went on to say "we have been here from Jersey enjoying ourselves for two weeks, and this is the first time that we've seen that," again pointing at my flag.

“I bet that the Colored folks passing by here are thoroughly ashamed and embarrassed by your presence” he added.
