Dear Ms. Lunelle,
On this visit, I would receive prayers, as usual, from my babies for my health and the Country.
“Mr. HK,” Sarah would begin, “in our last gathering you said that you believed that Ulysses Grant was the most corrupt President to enter the White House until Joe Biden took office. Grant was and is still looked upon as a hero who saved the Union and freed the slaves. And, as a matter of fact, it was the Black man whose vote propelled him into the Presidency.”
I responded, “yes I know, and you wonder, Sarah, why the Southern White man; and not to forget many Free Men of Color, and many loyal Blacks who would pay the cost for this; voted for the man who led the forces in the Vicksburg, Mississippi Campaign carrying out all the while Lincoln's Total Warfare Policy as the Confederate military and civilian populous were forced to eat rats and mule meat to fend off starvation almost totally put asunder all the love and respect they had between each other.”
