Dear Ms. Lunelle,

Today my babies would come again.

“Mr. HK, we read your Arlington White Papers and wondered what you would offer as a synopsis of it?”

“In my opinion”, I would begin…

“the problem that Yankees or Federalist had with the Southern Confederacy is that it offered too much freedom to mankind.

Those officers of the Confederacy did not turn their backs on an oath, they turned to the Constitution to help those people who had one half of a nation that had turned its back on them.  Turning with a legal way out; just wanting to go legally and in peace so said the Constitution and Declaration of Independence they could do!

These men that Milley and Warren proclaimed to be traitors were just the opposite. These men’s new Commander-in-Chief, the Honorable President Jefferson Davis, did everything in his power to avoid war against the government that he had served and loved. He sent a Peace Delegation to talk to Lincoln - but Lincoln would not take the meeting.

Banking on the premise that he could beat down in a matter of days this rag tag rebellion of dirt farmers whose only saving grace were a few trained officers. And so, without the legal consent of Congress, he sent a Band of armed State militia commanded by regular army on an illegal invasion of the South.  Most of the Northern States and especially the Border States wanted no part of this illegal act against their brothers of whom they had served so honorably together with.

Let me once again remind Lizzy and Milley that their declaration to the American people that these men and the Southern people were traitors is a bald face lie. When the Honorable Jefferson Davis presented to the men of Government his intent of departure because his State had sent for him to step down; these men openly wept on both sides of the aisle like babies. And after the War came to an end; this same Government slowly murdered him.

And after all that he and his family did for the African people; you Lizzy have the nerve and audacity, just like your Yankee predecessors, to try and justify your illegal actions to use the African people to justify what you do.

Let's talk about the legacy of the armed force that you now send once again against the Southern people as you now attempt to tear down the hour of reconciliation.
