Dear Ms. Lunelle,
On Saturday, May 17, 2025 alongside the Honorable C.D. Crawford, Camp Historian for the Jackson Rangers Camp 1917 Sons of Confederate Veterans, we would make our way to Bryson City, North Carolina to attend the Darnell Farms Festival deemed the Summer Splash where Commander Parris and other members of the Camp had set up a rather large tent and were already selling their wares.
I was given a premier spot at the front of the tent where God bless the Sons who would also provide me with Confederate flags to pass out to the Public at no charge. I also had at my disposal a Palm Card provided to me by Defend Arlington with pictures of the Arlington National Cemetery Reconciliation Memorial. This Card contained messaging of email and phone numbers to call Senators and Congress Members, where they could be contacted and a brief history of the Cenotaph and its removal.
To further the hour of reconciliation and heal old wounds between the North and South; especially as the former Confederate soldiers who don the Union Blue and so valiantly distinguished themselves with honor during the Spanish American War; President William McKinley and Union Veterans asked the Ladies of the South to build a Reconciliation Memorial Cenotaph Shrine at Arlington National Cemetery. And utilizing the services of the Honorable renowned Jewish Sculptor and himself a Confederate Veteran Moses Ezekiel, they did.
Shame goes to those members of the United States Senate who on June 9, 2020, sanctioned their so-called Renaming Commission, headed by already disgraced Senator Elizabeth Warren who continued her propensity to lie and to break Constitutional Law to justify the proposal of this Commission. She lied on unsuspecting Black folks (especially Veterans) who never asked her or even knew that she was going to use them while delivering her Bill of Attainder (unconstitutional rant) describing the men and women of the former Confederate States of America who pledged allegiance to that Constitutionally established government were traitors and insurrectionist not worthy of honor of laws and proclamations honoring and proclaiming that they were equal in honor and worthiness to those who served the Union Cause. And so, with the help of a biased Judge Austin, the Department of Defense, and Members of the United States Congress, despite President Trump’s veto, tore down the Reconciliation Memorial Shrine and disturbed the grave site of Moses Ezekiel. The desecration continues to this day.
