Dear Ms. Lunelle,
It is a difficult task and always has been for those of us who Street Fight to raise funds to do battle.
Especially now because of the number of legal battles like Arlington National, St. Augustine, Enfield and so many others that are mounting as we in the South now find ourselves at war and must address ironically for the good of the Nation or surrender our faith in the Almighty God's Will, and the National Constitution that Southerners have continued to fight for even after the surrender of the Honorable General Robert E. Lee at Appomattox Courthouse in 1865, and the so called "12 Years of Southern Reconstruction that followed and now once again with the "Woke Agenda "!
Most of us who have done Street Fighting for the past two decades can no longer even hope for the “pass the hat” plan, or even a rare appearance of funds in our mail boxes from some sympathetic and understanding persons because more sophisticated organizations have sprung up and diluted our importance in this war of ....."battle and education". Ironically this is occurring as more and more request come from people and organizations for help with little or no travel cost offset. I wonder if they think that we have money trees planted in our back yards.
Subsequently, more Warriors like myself are pulling out of the fight; not because of the lack of care, but we just cannot afford to fight or depend even on the miniscule help we use to get.
I personally apologize to the hundreds of my babies in Home Schools North and South of the Mason Dixon who have asked me to come and speak to them about the tragedy unfolding at Arlington National Cemetery with the Reconciliation Memorial Cenotaph but I have had to decline when I find the “E” on the fuel gauge. God bless you!
Your brother,
