Editor’s Note: Mr. Edgerton’s letter below was in reponse to the persecution of the Florida History Teacher by a so-called “TicTok” “Infuencer” who was leaked an internal “School News” nideo which was produced by a Florida History teacher and resulted in an ‘investigation’ of him and disruption of educational activities last week at the school.

Dear Principal Dyer,

My name is HK Edgerton, and I have been depicted as a Southern Heritage Activist. In all my time spent in the Civil Rights arena, I don't believe that I have heard or seen anything more offensive to me than the lady who used such vulgarity to express her position of a tape played by one of your teachers to his class during a time that may or may not still be recognized as Confederate Heritage Month. She would not be a mother that I would want my children to visit if this is the best language, she can use to express her disagreements.

What he did not gauge or expect was the underpinning of hate he received.
