Editor’s Note: This letter was sent to Fox News in response to their commentators saying that “if black students were facing this, someone would step in and put a stop to it” and that what the black students faced was like a “cake walk” during their civil rights protests.
This caused Mr. Edgerton’s hypocrisy meter to go off the chart. He got no response, but he has not heard this narrative repeated since.
Dear Sirs,
As a Black Southern Heritage activist who has tired of seeing Black folk used as a weapon of choice against the Southern White man, it is just as disconcerting to see the Reporters of your station using them as falsely as you report that they somehow did not face the kinds of terror that the Jewish students now face on campuses as they face anti-semitism.
