Dear Ms, Lunelle,
On Thursday afternoon September 28, 2023, at my request, my sister would turn away 17 of my babies at the front door. She would tell them that I was in prayer and had asked not to be disturbed; explaining to them that for the first time in 20 years on Saturday morning I was going to miss my annual pilgrimage to the low country of South Carolina to give a talk to my babies, babies, babies about what happened to almost put asunder the place of honor earned by their ancestors before, during and after the War for Southern Independence alongside their White Southern family. And not to forget the debacle at Arlington National Cemetery.
She would tell them that I just couldn't raise the necessary funds to make the journey. She went on to tell them that prayer gives us the peace of God in the midst of whatever we face. They would pass the hat and collect $62.00 to help me make my way. My sister with tears in her eyes would knock on my bedroom door and give me this accounting. God bless you!
Your brother,
