Dear Ms. Lunelle,
It is so ironic that here I was giving help to people who were hopeless and now finding out that I am now in that category.
The biggest irony is because of a supposedly benevolent check issued to me to help some in need in Asheville, NC, I have no funds for hurricane repairs or anything else. What I thought was a blessing, turned out to be a curse.
My Bank (HOMETRUST Savings Bank of Asheville (828) 254-8144) placed my account in the negative and began seizing any funds coming into the account including my Social Security check which supports my sister and myself.
Upon inspection, I have to replace twenty-five 20' long boards on the front porch floor, a downspout and front gutters.
And no telling what else as the damage caused by this monster hurricane is beginning to surface.
I am now amongst the hopeless.
I had to suck up the feelings of depression and let my babies who now knock at the door.
